am on cedax for 10 days now. my previous llmd (dr c ny) had me on a month of amoxy 3000 a day and never mentioned yeast.
at the end of the month i developed a terrible quesy stomach, anxiety, loss of appetite and white tongue.
my new llmd dr s from nj immediatley said i was developing candida(looked at mouth and did muscle test) he did not treat me for lyme until my igenex results came back.
(it did come back igenex positve on the igg and igm.) in the interum he did give me diflucan 100 1x day.
he also started me on cedax and the first week the above symptoms started getting better.
now for the last 2 days i feel like i am having the quesy stomach, anxiety sleep problems(waking up at 3 am with the quesy stomach feeling).
he thinks it is from the lyme and this is a herx(also have some mild foot pain, crawling feeling on head and a stretch mark rash).
just wondering if anyone has had smiliar and also could it be yeast ande not the lyme with the stomach problems.

went to the er last night as the nausea was unbearable. also had developed chills, no appetite at all and a fever.
they were nice, took xrays of stomach and blood. all neg. fell sick today. the llmd told me to stop the cedax and the diflucon andup the probiotics.
i am so lost and depressed and now startin to doubt that it is lyme and maybe something wrose like cancer.
i went to a gastro guy and he is doing a endoscopy tomorrow even though i had on in november.
any words of comfort would help. very depre3ssing as i have 2 young kids and i hate them seeing me like this.

Sorry you are feeling so bad.
Maybe a herx.
Sounds like maybe Bartonella too, stretch mark rash.
Hope you feel better, Jane

Rob, looking at your Lyme test results you are HIGHLY positive. It's normal to doubt your diagnosis and wonder if there's something else going on. There could be other things going on - ie; endocrine disruptions, hormonal imbalances, yeast overgrowth, etc. All of these go hand in hand with Lyme and can cause all kind of symptoms, but take a deep, calming breath and realize that you probably DON'T have cancer.
Lyme is cyclical and abx cause you to herx, so in the beginning of antibiotic treatment you're dealing with both herxing and the normal Lyme cycles. It's no fun!
Sounds like your doctor knows what he's doing and upping your probiotics should help with the gastro issues. Sending prayers your way and hope you feel better soon!

God bless you; I know about the "kid" thing, I hope you have a good support system. The obvious: take abx with food, etc. Also, if it were something cancer-like, your labs would most likely reflect it.
Praying for you.

Rob, my guess is that you have babesiosis along with bartonella along with your lyme disease.
This is very common. In my state, we all have these 3.
The babesiosis causes the chills and terrible nausea. The bartonella causes gastrointestinal problems, foot pain, and anxiety.
And, lyme is known for causing sleep problems (it attacks the sleep center of the brain) and anxiety AND depression big time.
So, what you are describing is typical for someone with lyme disease. It explains all your symptoms. You don't need to look for any other diseases. These 3 are enough.
In the beginning, the treatment is hard because it makes us feel sicker. But, it won't always be that way. You will begin to notice improvements as time goes by.
You can make a list of these symptoms and then keep track of them. Do they come and go?
When any of them no longer come, you can celebrate. But write it down because, believe me, when a symptom leaves, you will just forget about it and not realize it. You have to look at your list to see that you are improving. That's how you sustain your hope.
So, make your list and date it! And, include depression on the list.
I'll bet the endoscopy reveals nothing wrong. That's par for the course for a lymie. None of the tests they do at the ER or anywhere will find anything wrong because it is lyme and coinfections causing all the symptoms.
I had a few colonoscopies within a few months looking for the cause of my abdominal pain--found nothing.
We all have gone through this--ER visits and all. Eventually we stop going to ER and other doctors for tests and exams and just chalk it all up to our lyme disease.
