I'm sick, and I mean really sick, and would do almost anything to get better, like most of you. I came upon an article about a family who was cured of Lyme disease after they used this product.
What do you think? Has anyone used this and gotten better?

This brand isn't supposed to turn people blue. They say it's the purest form.
Anyone else?

Brooke,
I'm going to start using Utopia Silver soon. The people who turn blue are those using Silver Protein, or Silver Salts. Actually the woman whom it happened to was using a silver nitrate solution via a nasal solution from her pharmacy, it was NOT pure colloidal silver. Also, it is very very rare. There are just a handful of people who it has happened to and the same stories are recirculated time and time again.
The silver needs to be in distilled water, NOT with anything else. I've used both homemade and puchased before.
We got rid of my son's pink eye in a day with CS. I also had pretty bad cellulitis on my arm in Nov 2007 and went to an urgent care clinic. Got a shot of Rochephin (1000 mg) and the NP would only give me a script for Bactrim, which I told her I would not take (will not try Sulfa's). She refused to give me anything else, so I instead took Colloidal Silver and Echinechea (spelling I know!). I got better. And the NP had been worried, she called for several days after to make sure I was OK, had a huge red line running about 14 inches up my arm, localized edema, fever, ect.
I haven't started the CS yet because I'm so afraid of the herx. Since my EMEM isn't here yet still, I'm going to try a very small amount of CS tomorrow.

Why are you so afraid of Bactrim Ocean? Actual allergy to sulfas or just fear?

Guys I drank homemade CS for 5 months.
It did help me but it would not cure me.
They do think it attaches to the Bb and renders it
immobile and possibly infertile. But they don't
know for sure. But I would not be afraid of it.
And it may be an aid to get at the Bb.
They should be doing studies on this. Controls of
patients who take it v/s patients who don't.

Seek,
I've read of WAAAAY too many complications from Steven's Johnson's Syndrome and deaths due to taking Bactrim. Lots of people saying it should be outlawed.
My little sister got bad hives (they were HUGE!) for a week after taking Bactrim. The doc then put her on a bunch of different antihistimes, but it still took awhile to go away. She had them all over her body and they would move to her lips/face, her husband nearly called 911 on the third night they were so bad.
My alternative doc attended a conference (he was an ER MD, and switched to alternative medicine as he felt western medicine is just a band-aid for the most part) which said that once you take a Sulfa drug, it stays in the receptor site forever. I can't validate that info, just what I was told. So that made me nervous about it as well.
But I know some people do really well on Bactrim, but just not something I was willing to take a gamble on. Oh...and the NP said she would only give me Bactrim because "you could have MRSA". Never did a culture just said it's possible. I did not like that woman at all...acted like one of the arrogant MD's, not a typical NP.
Anyhow....
Also wanted to comment that homemade colloidal silver is mostly ionic which is good topically, but taken internally isn't nearly as effective. Mesosilver/Utopia are mostly colloidal silver (80% and 20% ionic), and it's much more effective internally.
I've never taken true colloidal silver, so that's why I'm so chicken, seems like everything I try initally makes me feel like crap.
I am new at learning about Colloidal Silver. You mentioned "20% ionic". What does that actually mean? I am considering Meso Silver, Argentyn 23, or ASAP Silver Biotics.
Is it normal not to herx right away after taking CS? Just trying to find one that is quality and truly works. I have heard testimonies that quality CS really shows evidence to have helped people within 5 to 6 months.

I've heard good things about Meso Silver. I think like anything else, it can be part of a good protocol but is most likely not a miracle cure as Lymies usually have more than just bacterial problems (parasites, detox issues).

All the people that have turned blue were doing it wrong. The smurf man makes his own home-made stuff with no way of testing the amount, particle size, if there is salt in the water, ect.... He also drinks the stuff like water and puts it on his skin everyday.
There is also a lady that turned grey and has a website advocating against CS use. I asked her how much, what kind, and how it was made. She could not give an answer...
I have heard some great things about CS and before antibiotics it was all we had... but I am still skeptical too.

I don't think the odds of this product turning anyone blue are of concern. I know MDs in the past that were using this product up to 8 ounces a day for awhile for Lyme disease. It did not result in a cure, but it is a good product. I use it when I get a cold/flu starting and it almost always stops it.
