I have a question regarding the Igenex testing. Do you know how long the test results take to

get back? I still need to get mine done, and want to have it back before my next Dr. appt. I

don't think I'll have enough time to do this though. He did check off all necessary testing

to be done, including co-infections on the LabQuest form, but I know from reading that

these tests can be inaccurate. What are all of your thoughts on this? Thanks, Fran

P.S. TO THOSE OF YOU WITH NEURO LYME. I AM SORRY THAT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TYPE THE WAY THAT YOU HAVE REQUESTED. I AM ON A LAPTOP COMPUTER AND IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO TYPE IN A VERY BIG BOX. I THINK THAT IS PART OF THE PROBLEM AND WHY MY SENTENCES SEEM TO BE BROKEN. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE IT MAY CAUSE YOU. I DO NOT MEAN FOR IT TO HAPPEN.

It usually takes approximately 3 weeks for the tests from IGENEX to be completed.

Some tests from Labcorp are ok, such as the CD57 test but most LLMD's use their lab of choice.

Perhaps he wants to use labcorp so your insurance will pay for it, since coinfection testing is somewhat unreliable anyway.

Alot of people here consider FRY labs to be really good, but I'm not sure if you can use it and get insurance to cover it.

Hi Fran,

My Igenex test results took about three weeks.

My LLMD would agree with gemofnj and use LabCorp for the CD57 test. He says they are the most reliable for that particular test.

He tested me for co-infections with Igenex and Fry Labs.

When is your next appointment?

Hi LeeLee,
My appointment is on August 3rd, and I wanted to have the blood work results by then.

I am hoping that with the results from LabCorp that something will show concerning the coinfections. I am not sure of the CD57 test.

Hopefully he checked that off as well.

Thanks for your responses! Fran

Fran,

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you get your results back by the 3rd!
