been 2 months now. did amoxy for 1 month, had typical lyme symptoms brain fog, foot pain lymph nodes. nothing too bad. seemed to be getting better and started losing my appetite.started doxy, got a rash so i was taken off ab's for 12 days.
the rash looked like a bart rash but the doc was 2 hrs away and stopped the meds. rash left in 2 days, started with new llmd, igenex test igx positive igm and igg.
no appetite and stomach problems for 2 weeks. felt better and then was put on cedax.
7 days into it, got a rash and i lost my appetite. food repulsed me. anxiety thru the roof with depression mixed in.(never had before 2 months ago)
developed diarrhea and llmd stopped meds. D stopped, on flagyl for the last 6 days. i have such anxiety that comes and goes all day.
had night sweats and chills, NO APPETITE AT ALL, forceing myself to eat and usually feel worse after eating.
he now has me starting iv zith on monday because of my psch. symptoms. he also thinks it could be bart even though i was negitive. i kind of think that with the rashes.
i am scared to death of the IV and having my kids see me with this thing in my arm.
also, hope it is the lyme causing the NO APPETITE and not somthing else(worse). what if it is C diff(tested neg but was told that test is unreliable) and i go on more ab's and make it worse. its funny for the periods throughout this when i got my appetite back my anxiety went away and i felt good. or is it when my anxiety went away my appetite came back. the latter would make me think it is the lyme, bart or oth coinf.

When the anxiety goes away the appetite comes back. Think about times past, isn't that the way it has been throughout your life? You don't feel like eating during extreme stress, worry, etc.
When you take your meds through IV it never has to go into the stomach, so no worries about C diff or other types of stomach upset. That's the great thing about it.
Kids take their cue from the adults. If you act like the IV is no big deal, then they will take it that it is no big deal.
Just tell them that the doctor is giving you your medicine in your arm instead of in your mouth this time. It is just another way of taking medicine.

TF says it well; kids really do take their cues from us. So I take it you are getting a PICC line? I've had one for seven months now, and I don't even notice it any more.
And the huge benefit is the med does bypass the tummy. I have had zero stomach issues and my tummy is the tweakiest. (Wait, is that even a word? ) Be sure to get your refridgerated probiotic. God bless you.
