Hi
What treatment are those with the protozoal ring forms finding effective for treatment??(

I have ring forms in my blood that keep re-appearing and am wondering what to try next.

I see my LLMD soon and he is out of options.

I've been through the Mepron /Malarone combinations and tried cryptolepsis and Artemesiae. But am still getting chills and occasional sweats etc.

Please pass on anything you have found effective,
Thanks
Emma

He was using Daraprim, Zithromax, and an Rx Folinic Acid

The protozoa protocol that was recommended had a sulpha drug instead of zithromax.

Because we live in a state that has intense sun 99% of the them, doctors hesistate to use sulpha drugs unless the patient is allergic to penicillin.

For long term use, Dr. F would not Rx it.

My daughter started the protocol for the protozoa, but was taken off of it Friday. He said he didn't like the progress his patients were making with it.

The problem? It probably needs a sulpha drug (Charlie, I've wanted to use Bactrim for my daughter in the WORST way!!). Second, you MUST use folinic acid with Daraprim or you can suffer anemia. The result? Folinic acid has been showing to increase the growth of the organisms.

I have a DNA picture of the biofilm blob in my daughter's blood that I will try to figure out how to post here.

For now, she will be returning to Mino (preferably Biaxin) and Plaquinil. Adding an antifungal and Lumbrokinase to break the biofilm.

Also, heat up the body. He said that cooling the bacteria causes it to replicate twice as fast.

Kelmo,

Thanks for the update. Sorry your daughter is still stuck in limbo. I am not real sure what is going on with hubby right now. I can't tell if his problems are due to a protozoa or a bacteria right now. What you say about the folinic acid does concern me as hubby did seem to do worse on the prescription form he was taking (Deplin).

The one other possibility that came to my mind regarding hubby is the possibility of killing off the protozoa and releasing heavy metals. Hubby's LLMD is considering some sort of chelation protocol.

Suki444,

You might want to try Alinia with Zithromax and Bactrim. I think this is what finally got rid of the babesia for hubby. If you could get a doc to prescribe it primaquine and chloroquine would be another possibility. And then there is the old standby -- quinine and clindamycin.

Dr. F is considering EDTA, but will try an antifungal and a heavy duty enzyme for now.

Actually the folic acid was causing HEAVY cramping that we were fearing was endometriosis.
So, stopping that has been a good thing.

How long did you take the Mepron? And at what dose?

I ask because several LLMDs have noticed that for some patients it takes 2tsp 2x a day (or even 1 Tblsp 2 x a day) for up to 2 or 2 1/2 years to get rid of this bug.

I've taken Mepron in 2tsp x 2 a day before with Bactrim at the end of a yr long course with Artemesia and Zith.
And have repeated courses since, (not 2 twice a day though).

It kills some of the tough european Babs but it always returns. My doc sees the ring forms appearing again...

Kelmo - please keep us posted on how this new treatment is working for your daughter

thanks for the suggestions folks
