Anyone else get this weird symptom?

The best way to describe it is to give a few examples.

So I try to get into a hot tub and as soon as the water touches my skin it feels as if I am on fire!

Then when something hot (like grease) splashes on my skin it sends an electric like feeling through my body. It burns more then usual.

This has been going on for sometime. I don't know what causes it? I assume nerve damage? But which nerves? And can I do anything about it?

I sure miss going into hot tubs!! [Frown]

Oh and I do have a heat intolerance in general. Not sure if they are related? Most of my worst symptoms are MS like symptoms. Could I have MS too? Strange!

Thanks,
Amy

I've has this for almost 10 years. Sunshine and even sitting under a lamp also does it.

For some reason, though, taking a hot shower in the morning, painful as it can be, resets my body and helps for awhile.

Oh I forgot about this one cause it's newer.

But when cold air blows on my arms or I wash my hands in cold water I get a weird sensation. Like cold tingling feelings.

The 1st time I noticed it was in June when a cold breeze was blowing and I asked my husband if it was raining. It felt like cold rain drops were hitting my arms. Very strange!

Anyone know if this will go away?

Amy,

I has a little something similar happen to me for a couple of days last month. It felt like my left leg was being rained on. I remember trying to wipe the dampness off, but of course there was nothing there.

Thankfully, this symptom did not persist. I can see where it could become most troublesome.

Hope your problem resolves soon.

I am on Doxy now too and have had similar feelings both with hot water and cold air. Cold air feels wet and hot water burns. Interesting. I'm switching off of Doxy next month. I'll see if it changes then.

Amy C:

I am so glad I replied to this.

I never got a sunburn with doxy, only this strange burning/tingling when water ran over my skin.

I hope this is your answer and it is gone soon!
