Good article! Thanks for posting it. In time, the world will wake up and know what we know....It's not rare, uncommon and easy to treat.

I am so sorry to hear that children are dying from tick-borne illnesses.
More education of physicians and the public is needed, and the IDSA is not going to be the ones providing the needed information.

This just sucks, all of it. Everyone of us who suffers. Ever go somewhere and somone knows someone with Late stage TBI? It boggles my mind how this awful disease is paid no attention.
And so much suffering. Ugggh. I am scared for flu season too Pinelady. Thanks for sharing this article. At least THIS little one was saved.

This is heartbreaking. I read another article a few days ago that spoke to the deaths, but this one is a bit more detailed.
Since you are so close in proximity... is there anyway for you find more info on the fatalities?

I am from TN and have Lyme from a tick I got in late May. I diagnosed myself 5 weeks later. I traveled out of state to see LLMD last week.

I usually spend all winters in emergency care. Last winter a friend told me to take "Flu Care" from "Highland". It is at the Vitamin Shoppe and is a homeopathic (cheap). I was sure this would not help. I washed my hands a ton, stayed inside more often and took flu care. I couldn't believe how much better i did. Good luck to all. It is scary, depressing and stressful trying to endure flu season.

Congrats jennie46, you must be a very smart girl.
It took me over 2 years to figure it out. But I
always had a doc saying it could not be LYME.
