Does Warfarin (Coumadin) work the same as Heparin to break down fibrin?

I don't believe so. Warfarin is usually used to prevent and break up blood clots by thinning the blood.

Warfarin is also used as a rat poison--it ruins the thickening agents in the rat's blood, and with any scratch, it bleeds to death. Ugh. I truly prefer Rechts-Regulat, which handles hypercoagulation very, very well, and is totally natural. It can be gotten in the U.S. from Dr. K's supplements department, called BioPure, as I recall. Although pricey, you can cut back on the dossage when you've got a result, so one bottle can last a long time. Best, Cass A
