I have heard so much about herxing and I am going to be starting IV rocephin soon. Has anyone had any experiences with it making you herx?

Hi, I have been on rocephin for seven months now. What will be your initial dose? I am a firm believer in going slow. I don't remember experiencing a huge increase in symptoms when I started, but also didn't get better right away either.
Also, if you have a problem your dr. can always adjust your doseage.

We all respond a little differently to these antibiotics. Don't be scared of the herx. It is easier to go through herxes than it is to continue getting sicker without treatment.
When I started IV Rocephin I did have many of symptoms flare up but I was already so sick that it did not make me feel much worse. It did make me feel very anxious and emotional which is highly unusual for me. Thankfully that only lasted about a month.
Good luck.
