Popped up on my leg for the second time-- different spot. Turns into a black and blue.

Docs don't seem to know what causes this.

How 'bout the experts???? [confused]

I get painful veins, mostly in my fingers & toes that seem to build up into a hard lump and then burst. This causes dreadful pain for about 1/2 hour then turns black for a day or two. I've shown them to my dr on more than one occasion and they also don't seem to know what causes it.

Middle,
Sounds exactly like what's happening to my leg veins.

If you find anything out, please let me know. I will do the same.
