I had my PICC line pulled on Monday after 45 days of IV Rocephin. I was also on oral Zith. This has been my only treatment so far.

Dr wants me to take a 2 week break with no abx. I really didn't want to take a break but...he told me that if I feel really bad, he will give me orals if I call.

So...I got some supplements and I don't know when to take them. I take Synthroid and Cytomel in the morning for my thyroid. I have to be careful taking anything around those as well.

Cat's Claw
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Anti-V w/Echinamide
Vira-Stop (proteolytic enzymes)
Multi Vitamin
Omega 3 (fish oil)
Probiotics
Magnesium

Any ideas????? Please and thank you!

You don't want to take any vitamins or minerals within 4 hours of the thyroid meds. I've been told not to worry too much about taking other supplements with them if necessary, but I generally try to wait 45 minutes at least.

I recommend reading the bottles to see what to take with food and what to take on an empty stomach. If you need to take something with food twice a day, take it with breakfast (unless it is a mineral or vitamin because of the thyroid meds) and dinner.

I generally take some things at breakfast, a multi-mineral at lunch, and other things with dinner. I take my amino acids, magnesium, and vitamin c between meals and at bed.
