Hello everybody,

I would like to read about Lyme-induced mental illnesses like certain forms of schizophrenia and delusional disorder.

If you could suggest websites and articles, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to help out the family of a very sick Lymie who was admitted to a mental ward.

There is a psychiatrist named Virginian Sherr who has written a lot of good things. If you google her name you may find articles of hers that may help you. I think she writes a column for Psychology Today called "The Human Side of Lyme" or something like that, although I could be wrong.

Also, Dr. Fallon has written some information on the psychiatric side of Lyme, I think.

In the book "Cure Unknown" the author talks about the mental changes that she and her husband experienced due to Lyme.

Hope that helps.

Also Google Robert Bransfield. He has written about the subject.

Go to www.pubmed.com and type such items such as Lyme AND mental illness or Lyme AND bi polar

disorder or Lyme AND schizophrenia to name just a few ideas. You will find many medical abstracts there.
