Just watched an episode of Mystery Diagnosis about a 15 year old girl that they finally found out had Lyme disease.

Has anyone seen this. She was treated for at least a year and ws on IV therapy. Didn't mention which abx. But she is in remission and it took her a long road to get there. She does maintenance but they didn't mention what that was either.

I didn't see that one, but I did see one with a man who was eventually diagnosed with Lyme.

That was before I was diagnosed, and he had many of the symptoms I did, and I just burst into tears when they gave the diagnosis.

I was sure then that's what I had.

Discovery Health, and their "Mystery Diagnosis" series, have been instrumental in getting the word out about Lyme.

Here's one link to a story they'd featured, out of about at least 4-5 that I can recall:

http://health.discovery.com/fansites/mystery-diagnosis/doug-posluszny.html

Maybe a search of their website will bring up the episode you'd like to see again- You can also pull up schedule info.

The producers there are wonderful. They have done at least 4 shows now on Lyme. When they did my Mystery ER episode on Lyme, they were right on the money making sure everything was portrayed accurately.

I know where you can see that video. It's on the website of the LLMD who treated her. (He's also in Under our Skin).

He's also the LLMD who is treating me.

Strangely he says in the video that lyme never goes away. That doesn't seem to be what he thinks now.

Yeah I was 14 when I got sick, and it went undiagnosed and untreated for 10 years until I almost died several times and through a crazy series of events finally figured out I had Lyme all along. After 5 years of treatment I got better and have been off all antibiotics for almost 5 years now and doing well. [Smile] I'm going to try to get my story from Mystery ER with Dr. B put on YouTube for you guys.

WildCondor,
I saw your episode of mystery diagnosis and knew it was you! I was so excited to see that your story was being spread further through such a reputable , widely watched TV show.

Thanks for all you do to increase Lyme awareness.

Hope you are doing well...and it would be awesome to get that episode on YouTube.
