My GI doc is making me have a colonoscopy due to my severe weight loss and mentioned colitis. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was a connection with this and Lyme???
I had terrible GI symptoms that looked like colitis. Bartonella and parasite treatment was what helped me.
I used Humaworm for parasites even though I tested negative. Enula was also good. I passed visible worms on these, but most people don't ... most parasites are invisible.

I understand intestinal problems are a major symptom of bartonella per my lyme doc. I sent a girl to him who was losing weight like mad, afraid to eat it made her so sick, and that's what he told her.
Doc put her on amoxy, biaxin and rifampin. Email me if you are interested in the dosages. This is a much sought after lyme doc.
I know that when I had lyme, babs, and bart I suffered some horrible episodes of abdominal pain. It went on for days. ER found no cause. No doc ever found a cause. Had colonoscopies, sonograms, etc. It all went away when I got good lyme treatment. I also had many months of continual nausea and some weight loss.
Burrascano lists low abdominal pain and cramps as symptoms of lyme and coinfections.

Are you taking antibiotics? All antibiotics for Lyme can cause colitis.

Hi Erika,
I had this for yrs. I also had worms and parasites as an underlying cause. I have been doing herbs and salt/c to get rid of them.
I also passed a lot of very visible worms. Don't ignore this,
Gael
