After the positive Lyme dx, I tried to start the antibiotics, etc., and then my gall bladder went bad.
I had it removed 4 weeks ago, turns out there was a huge stone 1 inch in diameter in there!
I gave myself time to recover, and started Biaxin again yesterday. 250 mg last night and 250 mg this morning (that's 1/2 the dose I'm supposed to be on).
Today I couldn't finish my lunch due to severe nausea and diahrrea. I figure it's the Biaxin.
I'm taking the supplements in Burrascano's guidelines for neuro Lyme, due to having lots of lesions in my brain.
The relapse I had a couple of months ago is not letting up, and I'm having a horrid time controlling my left leg and thinking/talking without sounding drunk or stupid. I have to go to work somehow.
ANyone else have such a rotten time getting started on getting better? I feel like every time I make one step forward in finding out what's wrong, something else nasty comes along and I get pushed back to square one.
Anyone know of any supplements that can interact with Biaxin? I really want to get better and stop/slow down the brain lesions.

Are you taking something to prevent yeast and
probiotics to keep bowels in check? Bless your
heart I do not see how you continue working.

Denise,
Wow, I am so sorry you are having such a rough time at the moment.
I was on biaxin for one month, and the only side effect was the horrible taste in my mouth.
Is there any way you can perhaps call your LLMD to switch out the Biaxin? Are you taking it with food?
Most harsh abx is better tolerated with a meal.
Since you seem to be very sensitive, I would definitely make sure you are taking a good refrigerated probiotic 2-3 times a day taken by itself, and 2 hours away from antibiotics.
Not only will it help to protect your sensitive stomach, it can help replenish the good flora that is being destroyed by abx.
Im not sure if you have these brands at your local health food store, but Megaflora by Megafoods, NSI 15-35 and Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care are some good choices.
As Pinelady mentioned, yeast can become a problem very quickly while on antibiotics.
Good luck and hope you get some relief soon!

I'm just sending compassion your way because i am in your same boat. Took biaxin today. So nauseated for 5 hours. i feel drunk and stupid today.
On a happier note... i had gallbladder surgery as well in 2005. I have had much relief with my digestive tract since getting blood thinner (lumbrokinase) and b12 shots (husband gives them twice a week). I was constantly in hospital with pancreas, liver and kidney probs. Couldn't believe blood thinner would help so much.
I think i'll try some of my yeast medicines as suggested above to see if it will help! P.S. I'm MUCH better, even though I suffer with stuff still....there is hope.

Thank you all so much for responding! I really needed some support today, as well as advice.
I am taking probiotics, will add a good yeast, too.
My LLMD did a test that showed my blood is on the goopy side - I wonder if the blood thinner would help. I'll ask him.
The thing that's annoying is I took the Biaxin for a few weeks while my gall bladder was an issue, and it didn't bother me.
I think I'll give myself a day to get straightened out, start keto for the yeast first, then the Biaxin, with food and not with supplements.
Any other comments welcomed!
