Those of you that have been following my downhill decline have seen me question whether or not this is worsening of the disease or a Herx. I could not tell. All I know is that I havn't been on any other treatment since over almost 35 days ago since getting the IVIG.

I do know that I am both loaded with this crap and my detox pathways are not good.

Imagine this: Last night it all got so bad that my head was shaking from the tremors created by the stiff neck. I literally could not and have not been able to think straight, but last night was by far the worst and I thought I might not wake up this morning.

Well, I did, and I woke up just as bad as I went to sleep. I knew I would not get past this day if I didn't do something drastic. Up until now, I was scared to put anything in me or do anything in making things worse, but I had no choice.

To make a long story short, I gave myself 1 gram of Glutathione IV push which gave my head some slight clearance. But what really did it was a 2 Liter Coffee enema retained for 15 minutes. While it was still dwelling inside of me, I could literally feel my head clearing drastically.

I am now about 50% better than I was upon awakening this morning and I can't say enough that I know with certainty it was from the combo of the Glutathione and the Coffee enema, and I would put 90% of the benefit with the Coffee enema.

So, in the end, I am alive and still fighting just when I thought this thing might get me. I think this is solid proof that the IVIG is causing my Herx's which should mean that it is killing off the disease. The problem is that it is doing so at rates that I can't keep up with.

Let me finish by saying that my emotional roller coaster is now over for the moment. No crying, rage, or even anxiety all day now. All I can say is phewwww and I'm exhausted from dealing with this in such a hard way.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

LT

Lymetwister,
You poor thing, and admiring how brave you are.

I do have a question for all you doing IVIG. I have a relative (older about 70 now) who had just 3 infusions of IVIG.

He & his neuro consider his Polymyositis cured.
Its been 6 yrs since & he feels wonderful & doing great.

Do lyme patients need so many infusions because it is infection based? Just wondering the thoughts on this.

DMC, typically lyme patients that do need IVIG, usually that get one infusion a month.

Lymetwisters doctor did 5 infusions in a row on him in high dose. We were wondering if he was going to survive or not [Frown]

DMC-

I have been on IVIG for a number of months. The first month I got 28 grams per day for 5 days. After that I have been getting 5 doses per month but it's just spread out over the month rather than in a row. Eventually I will get down to 1 dose per month and then hopefully to 0. In fact this month I am only getting 3 doses.

I am not sure about a "typical" protocol because I have been getting the high dose for a number of months now but am finally starting to decrease. I really think it depends on your doctor and more importantly how you respond to treatment.
