I've been on Doxy since April, just started taking biaxin + amantadine m/w/f this week. Yesterday, I got a pretty nasty cat bite, and today the infection is starting to spread up my arm. So, my doc is calling in a another prescription for Augmentin. She's out of town, I'm going through her assistant with this discussion. I wonder how all of these antibiotics at the same time are going to play together, or if I should stop some of them. Am I in for the herx from hell?

Thanks for the bump, Betty. The amantadine is to

change cell ph to help the Biaxin get in better.

I'm only taking it m/w/f. I did a search on this

site & found another site that checks drug

interactions. Found out that Doxy can interfere

with the effectiveness of the Augmentin so I

decided to stop the doxy until I'm over the cat

bite.
