I was on the IV generic Rocephin for three weeks, but that ended 2 weeks ago. While I felt my syptoms getting better, the past two weeks since I have been off of it, I have been getting worse. My doctor (not the brightest) told me that is the max dosage but I read other places you should be treated for 4 to 8 weeks.

Please let me know your thoughts

Jeremy

is your question about how long to do Rocephin period, or how long to do generic version?

On this forum it seems that people have done it as little as a month, as much as 18 months. You'll find all kinds of answers.

I'd say at least six months. My husband will be coming off at the six month point; his LLD is very cautious and almost paranoid about central lines....but I wish he would be able to stay on it longer.
