Just curious - we had my son tested today and wondering if we will get his results back before we head to his LLMD appt on the 31st.

I am from Texas. My lab was drawn and sent to Igenex, took 2.5 weeks to return to the LLMD's office.

My LLMD didn't bother to call me so I called him for the results.

When results return, have a copy faxed to you in case your son has a medical situation arise like I did and you will have the report in-hand.

I would advise not to see an ID (Infectious Disease) doctor. I was treated like I was crazy and I have end stage lyme.

Good luck and God Bless your son!

hi aimee,

sorry to hear about your son but glad you have an LLMD.

it could possibly take up to 3 weeks for IGENEX to come back.

it is a good idea to get copies of ALL tests so that you have a history for your son.

hope your visit goes well and he will be on the recovery road soon.

do keep us posted. [Smile]

I figured it would take a while but am still holding out some small hope we'll get those results before we leave on the 31st! Anyone get them in less than two weeks - ever?

I think I did -- not sure exactly, but my LLMD sent me a copy of the results and said I definitely have Lyme and to make an appointment ASAP.

I just looked -- blood drawn on 10-09, received 10-13, and printed on 10-22 -- so not sure -- but I would think you could make a plan with the LLMD to set in place right away when results are in, without another appointment.

Some LLMDs would start treatment anyway on the clinical symptoms alone.

Good luck. Can't imagine having a child with this
