Hello.

I am a 25 year old male who will be marrying soon. I have searched high and low for information about the possibility of sexually transmitted Lyme.

Has anyone experienced a very obvious transmittion of Lyme through intercourse?

I'm wondering if having Lyme disease will mean I shouldn't have children in the future. [Frown]

How many women with Lyme disease have given birth to children without the disease? How many males have passed Lyme disease on to their partners?

Anybody with any information, even anecdotal is highly appreciated.

Thanks everyone [Smile]

Hi Skinny Luigi,

I believe I passed lyme to my husband sexually. We are unaware of any tick that he's ever had attached to him (although it's quite possible that he has because we live in an endemic area for lyme).

I guess we'll never know for sure.

He does test positive for lyme on the IGenex test, but does not appear to be symptomatic at this time.

I passed lyme to my son congenitally (through pregnancy).

Here's what you have to keep in mind, though.

I was never treated before having sex with my husband nor before or during my pregnancy.

I think outcomes can be much more positive than this when you know you have lyme and can take the proper precautions.

From what I understand, having Lyme does not mean that you shouldn't have children in the future.

In fact, I plan on having another baby as soon as my LLMD gives me the green light.

Of course, this time, I'll be armed with the knowledge and tools to protect my baby from infection.

I had lyme before I married, unknowingly, and had children.

WE are all ok, so please do not worry.

Many have lyme and never know...so do not hold back on marriage because of this disease!

But here is some very good advice I wish someone would have given me that I sincerely pass to you.

This may sound odd...but this is crucial I have now learned over time, and genetically with my teenagers.

What is most important is to get rid of all mercury in your body, but expecially the womans body before conception.

Mercury, even a small amounts, is passed on to the children, and is a precursor to autism and other disregulations.

Lyme resides where mercury is present in your body. Lyme will never totally leave if mercury is present. Also mercury/parasites and candida live together! It is a big pathogen soup.

Getting lyme and not being able to get better is a sure indication that the other three are actively living in the body.

Also bacteria and viruses are harbored in parasites, so while parasites are harmlessly living in your intestine, they are host to the EBV, herpes, mycoplasma, etc that we lyme patients constantly battle.

Get rid of parasites, then you will get rid of a large chunk of your chronic bacteria and virus load! You can also pass these! Especially they hide in the woman's reproductive organs...I know!!!

Your immune system will finally be able to kick down the lyme when yu address these issues. Chronic lyme always has the other three musketeers silently creating problems in all your organs, muscles and brain. This is what gets passed and is much more scarier than the lyme...trust me.

I have been full circle on this, and now I know it is not "just lyme" that causes the problems. Actually, learning about lyme will save your future children...as you will get rid of the other pathogens.

When I say mercury, I mean amalgam fillings or dental work in your mouths! Also if you are young, you or your wife, may not have amalgam fillings, but other metals, like crowns, implants, or root canals etc.

Also your mother in law or your mother may have had amalgam fillings or another very invasive form of heavy metal in their body while pregnant with either of you, then the burden of those toxins were passed to you, causing underlying disregulations.

Therefore, I heighly recommend a metal detox, to do before marriage....go to a ND to work on this.
You can easily get the load lower before a pregnancy. Do not worry. Just be smart and informed.

Also do a colon cleanse and parasite cleanse.

I am speaking the truth and want to save you a lifetime of regrets of not taking these simple lifesaving steps for your children....

Everyone with lyme also has preexisting, silent parasite infection, heavy metals, and candida.

Search on lymenet for some more advice on how to just clean your body before conception.

Lyme symptoms seem to leave when these things are addressed correctly before treatment for lyme and co-infections. Mine is now gone and so is my daughters...who I passed to her. Your immune system can work much better against the lyme and co, when it stops working so hard on all the other pre-existing problems that lay silent in your body. Our immune systems are working overtime...and we need to give them some help so they can heal and do their job!

There is hope to have healthy happy children, and a healthy life for yourself if you address the simplest of things.

The llmd's who have patients finally get healthy, are the ones who address these three things first before chronic lyme.

good luck for your future!

lp
