Hi everyone. This is going to be a long post so I apologize in advance.
The past few months have been a rollercoaster for me. I really do not know what is going on with me lately and no matter how many docs I see, I cannot get any answers.
At the end of April, my new LLMD gave me a shot of magnesium because she felt I was deficient. I really disagreed with her but she insisted I have the shot. After the shot, my tachycardia calmed down somewhat and I got really tired and relaxed. As the week went on, I started developing thuds in my chest (PVC's). My cardiologist did a work up including another echo and a 24 hour heart monitor. Everything was normal. I did have some tachycardia as high as 144 but that was it.
Since that time, my heart has been getting worse and worse. The PAC's and PVC's would seem to come on about a week before my period and my pulse would get much slower into the 60's. Now I am having PAC's and PVC's constantly all month long. They never stop. I will have 5 or 6 PAC's a minute at times.
I have been to the ER over all this craziness more times than I care to count. They have done nothing and could care less. I had 1 EKG a few months ago showing a PAC and 1 EKG two weeks ago showing sinus arrhythmia but a normal EKG. All other EKG's have been normal.
My heart will speed up and slow down when you feel my pulse. My pulse is dropping down into the 50's at times now as well, even after eating or when I am moving around. The thudding and jumping around feels like a rat in a cage at times.
After waiting over a month to get in to see my cardiologist, he agreed to give me a 2 week monitor. I am wearing it now. My blood pressure is too low to take beta-blockers to stop the PAC's and PVC's so I have to live with them. He does not seem concerned about my heart at all. I just do not know why my heart went from tachycardia all the time to this. I always had tachycardia since the onset of my illness over a year ago and now this? A pulse in the 50's and 60's?? All I keep thinking is I will need a pacemaker or I have Lyme carditis or something. My brain is on overload with all of this and I am so worried.
Symptom-wise, I have been having a lot of episodes for months now where I feel like I have to think about breathing. Inhale..exhale..inhale. It feels like I will stop breathing if I do not think about it. I am also having a lot of pins and needles in my feet if I sit in certain positions or cross my legs.
On Monday evening, my face became somewhat swollen, especially around my eyes and sinuses. My lymphs in my neck and back of my head decided to swell as well. I have not had this happen since the onset of my illness. I have also been having a lot of the "blow torch on the skin" feeling like someone is burning me. A lot of tingling and chills over my scalp and face as well. My skin also feels very hot to the touch and I am running around a 100 temp.
I have been pulsing Mepron again for about 2 months now but other than that, I have not been on any meds. I have no idea what is going on with me and what to do. My LLMD is not very good at all and cannot help me or provide any answers.
Does anyone have any insight as to what could be going on with my heart and what is causing the face swelling/tingling/lymphs/etc??? The anxiety is overwhelming and I do not know what to do at this point or what could be causing all of this.

Please check out the possibility of PARASITES AND WORMS!!!
I have had all of the symptoms you have mentioned and where completely resolved when I got rid of the Major parasites.
Do a search on here for parasites sympyoms. Anxiety is definitely a sign of parasites. check out

Sorry you are so upset!
I had a very similar thing going on with my heart in the beginning of my illness. My heart would beat very slow and then speed up as though it was catching up. It did this 24/7 and about drove me nuts.
I had an echo cardiogram done. It showed frequent PACs, Mitral Valve Prolapse and some other valve was also prolapsed, can't remember which one now. I was put on tenormin but it lowered my blood pressure so much that after a few months I stopped taking it.
I saw another cardiologist for a second opinion. Neither of them took it very seriously, so I decided not to worry about it. Also with lyme treatment it has gotten much better.
The swelling in the face could relate to your heart, or it might just be a lyme symptom.
Tingling and lymphs sound lymish to me. My lymph nodes swell practically everyday. Or sometimes they go through a period of staying swollen for a few days or weeks and then go down.
At least you are wearing a monitor and in a few days you will know if this is cause for alarm or not. Many lymies do have similar experiences with heart beats and bp so don't worry too much.
I think it is very possible this is from Lyme and co or from the medication Mepron.
Your anxiety will only make it worse. And I bet it is all one big Lyme symptom. If the doctors thought it was very serious, they would do way more than just put a monitor on you and send you on your way.
Hope you feel better soon!

Hey Cheetah,
My recent sx are very much like yours. My tests came out fine as well. I get the swelling around my left eye, but pain is also a part of this for me....feeels like someone is ripping my eyeball out.
All intensifies one week before period.
For the last month or so I have been having the 'think' to breathe stuff too. I just got out of the hospital. Had a heart cath and my heart is very healthy.
My bet? treat the babs. You might insist on a thallium stress test if you have not had one to r/o the heart. Sometimes echo, ekg, etc. are not good markers for women.
It stinks. My HR is 48-62 resting as soon as I stand it goes to anywhere from 110-145. I can't take meds either for the tachy. I would bottom out.
Hang in there, and try to slowly treat the babs.

Why are you only pulsing Mepron and not on any other meds? If this LLMD can't help you, perhaps he's not the right one.
Sorry you're feeling so bad. These bugs take a lot to get rid of and babesia is pretty persistent.
BTW, parasites were a biggie for me, too.

It sounds like Babesia to me. What is your dose of Mepron and are you even on Zithromax? Why in the world are you pulsing mepron and not taking the full dose? What are you on with it?
The burning and swelling skin was how my babesia manifested, and after strong doses (4 teaspoons per day) of Mepron for 6 months plus 1,200 mg of Zithromax per day plus Artemesia, it went away for good.
Have you had a Tilt Table test?
Something here sounds fishy, and it may very well be that your doctor is NOT a LLMD.

Hey Cheetah,
I hate that you're having such a tough time. Sounds like babs is causing most of your symptoms - we have a lot of the same babesia symptoms and we've talked about that before.
I know you can't take Zith, and that's a major obstacle to overcome. I have FINALLY gotten my babs under control and guess what did it? A rife machine. Sounds crazy, I know, but it's really helped me turn the corner.
I was using it for Lyme and so pleasantly suprised that it was working. My Lyme symptoms slowly went away (with lot's of herxing in between) but I was still having major babs flares and symptoms - air hunger, heart palps, chest pain, hot flashes, burning skin, chills, fever and excessive sweating. I was taking boatloads of Mepron and Zith and it just got to a point where the meds weren't even touching it.
Finally I decided to try my rife machine to see if it would help, but truthfully I didn't have very high expectations. I rifed using 3 babs frequencies - 570, 20 and 27 - I had a horrible herx followed by a blissful week and a half with ZERO babs symptoms. Over the last 2 months I have pretty much erradicated the babs by rifing.
I did have a small flare this past full moon but a few minutes in front of my machine knocked it out and I've been fine since.
Really think about getting one...they're only about $400 - half the price of half a bottle of Mepron, and I swear they work. I don't know how or why and I don't give a damn, I just know that there really is something to these things.
Anyways, whatever path you decide to take I do hope you get some relief soon. I've had all those same symptoms and it's so scary - I really feel for you. Keep your head up!!!
