Hi everyone. Has anyone heard of this problem? CE dangerous when opening methyl pathways and something to do with cysteine. Any info appreciated. Thanks Joyce

I don't know anything about that. But, I do know there are people with detox issues who have a lot of trouble with coffee enemas. I think it's really important to use very weak coffee for the first one and build up from there for that very reason.

Dear Joyce,
I have been doing CE's for several years and find it an excellent detox with benefits that are immediately apparent. A secret I learned at the beginning is to add two tablespoons if unsulfered molasses to the mixture before beginning. This helps with retention and any discomfort that some folks report.
I have never heard anything about dangers related to opening the methyl pathways. That doesn't mean it isn't a problem. When you get an answer to that question I would be interested.
Good luck....

Here in New England many use coffee from Dunkin Donuts along with a few carbaholic confections (donuts) for this. And the coffee must be lightened by a lot of cream.

Thanks guys and gals. Some of your posts are very funny. I am not new to coffee enemas. I just saw this post and wanted to know more. Hopefully more will be revealed. Thanks for the reminder Lightfoot, about the molasses. Yes humor is allowed LOL

Doughnuts and coffee? That sounds fabulous right now!!!!
Sorry, not sure of the answer...I guess maybe trying the CE's and seeing what happens (if you feel worse or better) would be the best way to know. Then only do them if they make you feel better, because otherwise it might be too much.

I've read many of your posts and think we may have similar issues. I have methylation pathway blockages and have severe issues detoxing. I've only tried a coffee enema once, it was just 1/3 of the normal amount, and I got extremely sick. Never again!
