Hi imanurse,
Well, I worked in Yellowstone as a ranger for ten years and that's where I got sick. That was in 1989, so it's been with me for a long time.
I am waiting for some labs of co-infections to come back soon, so will be glad to pass those along when they come back.
Now, I have to say I've spent a lot of time outdoors, at camp, on horses, in barns, and have lived all over, and had lots of tick bites. But Yellowstone is where I got sick.
I had a tiny little black speck on my back that a friend removed, we couldn't even tell what it was it was so small, but I suspect that was the bite that did it.
So, yes, I believe Yellowstone has lyme and other TBIS too.
Sorry your vacation had to end this way. Such a beautiful place to contract such an awful illness.
