Please join us as we walk to raise funds for Turn The Corner Foundation, and help raise lyme disease awareness in the California Bay Area. The walkathon will be held on Saturday November 7th at the beautiful Shoreline Park in Mountain View, walk starts at 11am, registration begins at 10am.

This will be a family friendly day with activities for the whole family, raffle, food, and fun (sorry, no dogs allowed at Shoreline). The walk is a 2k/4k walk, with shorter routes available for anyone who cannot walk as far (or feel free to register and join the fun without walking if you want).

Shoreline park has beautiful wide flat paths, well groomed (no overhanging brush), and is just a lovely location to spend the day for a very good cause.

To register for the walk, please go to http://www.firstgiving.com/createfootprintsttc - you can optionally set up a personal fundraising page as well, and/or start your own walk team, or you can join one of the existing walk teams there.

For more details on the walkathon, please go to http://www.mylymemission.com - our flyer is also available for download there if you would like to help get the word out about the walkathon.

Please help us make our first annual walkathon a huge success by joining us for a fun filled day for a very good cause! Donations of any size are greatly appreciated as well, thank you! [Smile] [Smile]

Just giving this a little bump - registering online before the event is $25 and guarantees you a t-shirt, registration at the event is $35. Remaining t-shirts are first come-first served. Children under 10 are free, and we are working on getting a bouncy house and a face painter for the kiddos - should be a really fun day! I hope our local bay area folks will join us to help raise money for lyme research [Smile]

What a great idea! Lots of hard work....thanks! I will try very hard to get my family there. I'm not up to walking but those grandkids sure are!

We live about 45 minutes south of Mt.View. Anyone near us?

Wonderful! And it is fine to register and not walk, or there are shorter routes available, and you can also have a fundraising page even if you are not walking.

Shoreline also has pedalboats available for rent which would be a fun thing to do after the walk for the kids [Smile]

We are hoping to get as many people as possible to register online ahead of time, as there is a snowball effect as far as getting people involved [Smile]

Giving this a bump - and wanted to mention that we are making this a very fun and kid friendly day, with a bounce house, facepainter, games for the kids, etc. Shoreline also has boat rentals available, which is a fun thing to do after the event [Smile]
