My wife and I have decided to try for a second child. She had been treating for some time and has been around 95% - 100% for several months off all abx. After discussing with two LLMDs we decided that for us it is worth the calculated risk. She has started taking Amox in preparation, and will be on Amox plus maybe something else during pregnancy.
I tested negative for Lyme and am not symptomatic, but my intuition tells me I might have dormant TBD's as I did a lot of hiking in upstate NY in my earlier years.
My question is: what meds should I take to ensure I don't transmit whatever it is I might have (assuming I have Lyme and/or some co's).
A couple of considerations are: I should be able to buy it online, and the meds should not affect sperm production.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. PM me if you wish.
Thanks.

My husband and I are in a very similar situation as you and your wife.
After treating lyme and coinfections for over a year, I was just given the green light by my LLMD to try to get pregnant.
I too will be taking Amoxicillin and also Zithromax in preparation.
My husband recently tested positive for lyme.
I was told by my lyme doctor that because my husband is not symptomatic and because his only positive test was the IGG (indicating an exposure, but not an active infection), that he should not be treated because he is not a threat to reinfect me at this time.
Have you been tested for lyme?
If not, I wonder if you should test and see if what your results show.
If you are only positive on IGG and not IGM and you are not symptomatic, I would think you wouldn't need to be treated.

I recommend you check in with a Homeopathic doctor on this one. Perhaps there are some special nosodes that can assist you without affecting the fetus. Good Luck to All. Grace
