I've had this on and off since being sick with Lyme. My liver hurts - like this dull ache and sometimes I'll get sharp stabbing pains too.

Besides the pain when it flairs up, I swear I can also feel my liver. It feels swollen and there's like this lump there - I don't know how else to describe it.

I take turmeric and milk thistle every day, so what gives? My liver panels are always fine, other than having high bilirubin, which I've always had.

It seems to flair the most when I'm on my period - so it's hard to tell if it's actually my period causing it or the 10 advil a day I take to deal with the cramps! This is the only time I ever take advil by the way, but not taking it is out of the question - the cramps are unbearable.

Anyways, would love to know if anyone else has this aqnd if so do you know what causes it and what I can do about it. I'd really like to keep my liver [Big Grin]

I would think it was the advil. 10 advil a days is a lot. I've ever had twice a day and had lots of side effects. After taking so many medicines, I can feel right away which medicine is bad on my liver, even all the numbers are in the normal range, but damage already started. Listen to your body, if the liver hurts, stop the advil, try some other ways to stop the pain.

And IV glutathion helped me a lot.

...the cramps are unbearable.

You may be able to reduce the menstrual cramps by taking supplemental magnesium, and by using systemic enzymes.

Low magnesium can cause muscle cramps.
Lyme patients are low in mag, as the bacteria use it.

Systemic enzyme, such as Wobenzym, will reduce fibrin.
Fibrin causes clotting.

Large clots passing through the cervix (entrance to the uterus) will cause pain.

Hi Lymielauren

I have always had the irritation in my liver area, Dr. told me it was probably due to inflamation. Which is probably in lots of areas due to lyme. I am just beginning treatment so not sure how to advise you just wanted you to know that I too have issues.

One time my ALT was a little raised but my Gastro Dr. told me not to worry unless it is up a lot higher.

So I too am taking milk thistle for support not sure if I notice any thing different, but I'm interested in the liver cleans for liver flukes.

Isn't that caused from eating lots of fish maybe undercooked. I am a fish eater...

Can anyone tell me more about the liver cleanse and its safety/effectivness. I haven't treated for any parasites at this time.

THanks,
CIndy

Easiest to start with Humaworm parasite cleanse.
Do for one month. If you notice parasites in stool, urine or vaginal clots, it means you have a large infestation of parasites, and must use cleanse every three month.

After the initial parasite cleanse, do a liver/kidney cleanse, suggest hulda clarke.

search on www.curezone.com for more info.

Many of us have finally seen relief by doing this and you can search the posts here on lymnet concerning parasites and liver flushes.

Is Huma worm safe to take and can you get at nutrition stores?

I've always thought of parasites because of animals, have dogs that had various worms and horse with worms, all treated and fine now but what an ordeal at times. Dogs had whipworms (lost that one) and other had hookworms, not sure what my horse had, but I think people can get these?...

Thanks Cindy

Many use humaworm on lymenet, as it is inexpensive and a very easy protocol.

Ony take twocapsules am before breakfast, and two capsules later in afternoon 1/2 hr. before food.

There are other products at health food store, but the herbs used may not be as potent, because they get stale on the store shelves.

That's why people choose humaworm, because they are made to order.

some people recommend Dr. Natura, as it is a milder version parasite and acolon cleanse...mostly colon cleanse related.

Many also make their own remedies, by folowing the hulda clark recipe and cleanse site.

The only thing with using humaworm parasite cleanse, is that you can only use it every three months, as the one herb, wormwood, is potent and can cause problems if used for longer than the recommended amount of time. The wormwood is what kills the parasites.

If you work with animals, you do have parasites. IT is recommended that those with contact withanimals get a regular parasiate yearly cleanse anyway.

IF you have lyme and other chronic illnesses, you need to do this. Along with the liver/kidney/gall bladder cleanses after it.

I recommend you start with the humaworm parasite and the bowel cleanse program combined cleanse, as you will see immediate results.

Over the counter products at health food store will most likely produce slower results due to potency.

Can you get the Humaworm and/or bowel cleanse at the nutrition store?

Is this something best to do under care of a Dr. or is it pretty safe? Taking lots of other meds will this be affected?

I have lots if irritation/inflamation in the liver area and had slightly elevated ALT that went away (before abx).

Haven't talked to any Dr. about parasites yet...

THanks for the info,

Cindy

IT's easy to do...no MD necessary. Don't even bother with the expensive parasite tests.
Just take the products before meals (as parasites eat your food..they will eat the killing agents first), in capsule form, and you will kill parasites.

Then do a liver cleanse...or maybe start with a liver cleanse first if your liver is hurting you.

Thanks so much ya'll. I just started the salt-c protocal and will do the parasite cleanse as well. I did have tapeworms as a kid and remember being afraid to go to the bathroom because I knew there were worms - I was 6. Gross, huh?

Besides that, I have a new puppy and she was INFESTED with worms when I got her. I found this out after sharing many "kisses" with her, lol.

Thanks again for all the input.
