I was diagnoised with babs in 1996 when I was 14 by urinanylsis. Dad was chronic Lyme atthis point and my brother diagnoised around the same time as me thanks to dad having more information. By the time i had been diagnoised the dr figured I had been bitten 2-3 yrs prior No EM rash was ever discovered. I was treated with the quinie tx at that time which I couldn't handle. Went to Mepron/Zitro for almost 2 yrs. My titers had gone low enough for remission.

I went back to my LLMD in 2001 for tx again this time he felt my titers were still low, at this point babs was showing up in blood tests. He treated me with Doxy for a few months. Titers dropped again. I moved out of the country in 2005 and started noticing heart palps which I attributed to caffine.

I saw my PCP in 2008, a dr I was seeing throught my babs treatment in the past. She ordered a EKG (normal) and lyme titer (also again low). She said the palps were from caffine and I cut it down as she suggested. They have since subsided, but not gone. Now I'm noticing other symtons over the last several months. Constant itchy skin, with small pimple like blisters. A constant white tounge, cough, some insomnia, waking during the night. loss of libido and irritability/mood swings. I'm starting to think it's a relapse but I need a GOOD LLMD on Long Island!

Don't just dwell on babs. Look at the big picture. Perhaps lyme is even still rattling around in there. I would suggest that you find another LLMD and get a full workup again, including perhaps an Igenex western blot.

2 yrs of Mep and Zith is good treatment for babs. There may be something else activated in you.

Or there is always the chance of reinfection.

If you have a white tongue, it would be yeast. Yeast can cause a whole bunch of weird symptoms (if it is systemic yeast).

If I were you, I would check if you had yeast on your tongue, and start a yeast-free diet, and an anti-yeast supplement or medication

Well, with the white tongue it sounds like all of those could be attributed to a ststemic yeast infection. Did you take Diflucan or Nystatin and probiotics while you were on abx?

Also, Doxy doesn't kill babs as far as I know - you need an anti-malarial like mepron or malarone for that.
