Is anyone taking this drus?

IM or IV?

If doing it IM:
what size needle do you use?
what do you mix the powder with (lidocaine or sodium chloride)?
is it painful, worse than bicillin, worse than rocephin?
and finally, does it help?

Thank you so much,
Lymster in WA

I never had this for Lyme, but they gave it to me after having my ruptured appendix removed.

At the time, I was on Morphine; but even without Morphine, Invanz IV was strong and I was exhausted from 9 days of it in the hospital.

On the Lyme front, Rocephin IV rocked my socks off for the first 6 weeks and then improvement was slow and steady afterwards.

Bicillan injections by doctor have been very easy to take. Bicillan has been difficult for me, but not any where near as consuming as the Rocephin and the Invanz experiences!

What are you hoping the Invanz will treat?

Best of luck,

wiserforit2

I am hoping the Invanz will treat some leftover Lyme. I already did bicillin for 9 months, until my buttocks could not take it anymore. The improvement in bicillin was great.
After the bicillin, I graduated to rocephin and did it for 6 months (some IV, some IM) and I also improved.

I am attempting to do the Invanz IM, because I had a blood clot in a very risky location while doing IV rocephin. I am just to scare to do IV again......

Thank you for your response,
Lymster

up for someone that alreadt tried the IM INVANZ

My husband was very tired the first couple of weeks on this med. He's finishing up more than a year and a half of IV treatment with various antibiotics. He was already at about 90% so can't say we've seen great progress as so much had already been made.
