I keep getting episodes where I look at the computer for a little while and then feel off-balance, my ear feels funny (almost fluttering), and then I get weak and break out into severe chills. Is there a connection? I'm losing hope figuring this out. [Frown]

My job is to look at the computer constantly. BAD BAD BAD to have this issue. It's demoralizing. No docs care and blow me off when I say it.

Job or not, no one should have to look at a computer constantly. When you have episodes as you describe, that is a medical signal to change something. Even at your desk you can give your eyes a rest by frequently looking at various distances and even closing your eyes for a minute or two.

Yes, Inner ear stuff can trigger vertigo (of many types), then that can trigger nausea and that can trigger chills. You might take a break from computer for a while and rest your eyes - and then let them focus on stuff far away and at all sort of other distances.

The close work and the light of the computer can be quite straining.

Severe chills, however? You might have some hot tea, bundle up and take care as you could also be coming down with a touch of something. Keep your neck wrapped and your feet warm.

Really, hot tea - green tea - might help in many ways.

---------

Check out the book/DVD of "Yoga for your Eyes" - there are some great exercise there that can help offset the computer strain.

Seek, I'm getting this too rightnow. It just started the last two weeks. But for me it's not connected to the computer.

Just randomly I will get vertigo, especially right when I wake up. I can;t move for two hours. Then it goes away but leaves me really dizzy still.

I also noticed I was getting this weird sensation on one of my legs. Like I'm getting the chills, but not because I'm cold. Then I get goosebumps, but only on one leg.

It's so strange I don't want to call my doctor. Just another weird symptom they will dismiss. I even goodled it this morning but didn't come up with anything.

Also I keep getting this tapping ro drumbeat in my right ear. Whatever it is I hope it resides for you and more come along with answers!

I get extreme dizziness from loud noises - not the same, but equally strange. I also will develop the chills out of nowhere. I had them in Vegas when it was in the upper 90s and there i was teeth chattering and shaking. Weird.
