I was hoping some of you may be able to help me here.
I am doing Bicillin La injections ( just started on Sunday and did a second one on Tuesday).
I was due for another last night, however I am worried that I may be having a reaction.
Yesterday I started with a very significant tingling feeling in both hands, arms, feet and lower legs.
Not a painful feeling, just wierd tingling.
I tried calling the doctor, but he is out until Monday, and can't be reached!
I also called my pharmacy and she couldn't find anything significant about the tingling, other then what I read. Which was (Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: vision changes, fast/slow/pounding heartbeat, numbness/tingling of arms/legs, pain/redness/swelling of arms or legs, change in skin color near injection site or on arms/legs, uncontrolled movements, inability to move, change in the amount of urine)
I am thinking this is not a life threatening side effect, and I hate to stop the shots (well not really as they are so very painful),but you know what I mean.
I want to get better, and if this may help me get better then I do not want to give up too soon.
My thought is that I will go ahead and do todays shot and then talk to the doctor on Monday beffore i do the next one.
Has anyone here ever had or even heard of this as a side effect when doing IM Bicillin??
Thanks for any responses, Tracey
