KPU stands for kryptopyroluria or kryptopyrroluria.
For a good explanation go to www.drrandy.org and click on articles.

after reading drrandy.org and about KPU and then mercury I had to go into my notes to check something out....
Feb 10 2001 went to dentist had 2 cavities drilled and filled
Feb 11 2001 I had an explosion of symptoms, left face bells palsy and cold skin, left arm amd leg numb, crackling in neck, emotional labality, difficulty swallowing, slurring, stuttering, ect. ect. ect.
All my Lyme symptoms popped up in a day to a week after going to the dentist.
I remember the trip to the dentist that day. He had no assistant and he had a hard time keeping my mouth open, suctioning, and drilling on his own. I remember choking on and swallowing the stuff he was drilling out of my teeth.

It is not uncommon for people to get worse or their symptoms to start after inappropriate dental amalgam removal. It is sadly a story I have heard many times. It should, however, give you a clue that metal detox might be beneficial as part of a well-planned treatment.

I've been on the KPU treatment now for almost six months. I think it is definitely a positive treatment for me. Has not been easy. Stirred up the metals and the infections a bit, but I am seeing good signs like white spots in nails gone, improved skin wound healing, responding to infections, etc.
For those getting tested via Vitamin Diagnostics, ensure that you order BOTH KPU and HPL. There is no additional cost for HPL but it is important and most doctors are not aware of it. KPU alone yields higher false negatives.
