How long have you been able to get your IVIG for?
Since last January, our new health insurance company, Health New England, has made my life a
living hell. After Blue Cross/ Blue Shield initially approved my IVIG, we had to switch to
HNE because of my husband's company.

At any rate, my pcp feels "I don't need it anymore." The hematologist who had administered it, wants to bump me from her practice as she wants to concentrate more on hematology/oncology.
I saw a local duck neuro who actually uses IVIG in his practice. He doesn't believe in chronic lyme or the neuro in NYC's findings. I am at a
dead end, and I just wonder how long people have
gotten the IVIG for.

I have to keep looking for another doctor in the interim and probably another pcp too. He feels I had enough treatment, but I am beginning to relapse, which was unfortunately confirmed by my out-of-state llmd. My insurance won't pay for anything unless orchestrated by my pcp. I am stuck.

Di

hi di

i just started ivig 3 weeks ago. my ll neuro is in ct. pm me if you want his name. why can't another dr order ivig for you other than pcp? ivig seems beyond a pcp's expertise. i would challenge the ins co if they are requiring this.

I wish I could give you my IVIG Di. I will never do that again. Can you believe I still feel like I'm herxing from it at the 80 day mark or so ?

I'm doing nothing for the past 2 weeks, and I get relief from coffee enemas and epsom salt baths, which would indicate I am Herxing, but from what ?

Before the IVIG, my temp was 96.5, now it's either normal or I have had a low grade temp 99.0-100.0 every day since the IVIG and everytime I have labs drawn now, my WBC count is elevated and it switches up between my Neutraphils, Eosoniphils, Lymphocytes, and Monocytes being elevated...

Trying to get the IV Rocephin started here at home. Sorry to hear your relapsing. Maybe try some alternative stuff in the meantime, so you don't fall too far behind the game, so to speak. That Virgin Coconut Oil was very powerful stuff for me.

You can take IGG 2000 orally, that will help as you anyhow feel already a little better.
It is from Metagenics.
