My LLMD recently gave me the thumbs up to try to conceive.
I have been in treatment for 1 1/2 years now and am doing quite well.
My first child was born with lyme and coinfections. I didn't know I had lyme when I was pregnant/nursing him and was never treated for lyme.
He is now 2 1/2 and doing very well with treatment.
After my lyme diagnosis, I was very depressed because I assumed I could never have another child without passing the infection to the baby.
After MUCH research on the topic of lyme and pregnancy, I finally determined that it is absolutely okay to have a baby after lyme.
I know there are many of you out there who will be critical of my decision.
However, I am putting my story out there for all those women on lymenet who hope to someday have a baby after they are better from lyme.
I know that this topic would be discussed much more often on this site if women weren't worried about being judged.
So, for those of you out there who would like to someday have a child, I plan on keeping everyone updated of my progress.

I think it's fantastic...and if you check the threads here, you will find most people encouraging you to live and love!
But just be smart and wise about how you proceed, and all should be fine.
I would make a recommendation, do a major detox, then let your body balance and stabilize a little before you conceive. Get rid of as much candida/yeast, parasites, heavy metals. Remove any mouth metals prior to conception, and cleanse with chorella.
I wish I knew that before I had my kids, who now, besides lyme, inherited my mercury from my fillings along with multiple chemicals and plastics! WE have finally turned the corner with the A.I.Therapy that is starting to regulate all those errors deep in our systems.
Clear your body of whatever you can, especially since you have been in treatment. The residual from Abx can add extra burden to your body.
Ask for advice on lymnet about safe, basic detoxing so your pregnancy will be the best possible and your child will not inherit toxins from you, besides possible bb. Help your new child start out with the cleanest slate possible for you!
Best wishes, lp

I would be HIGHLY interested in your progress with having a baby with lyme disease. My husband loves kids and we don't have any and i am always afraid i may not be able to fulfill his wish if i dont get well. I really want to know how you do throughout this experience. Are you going to be taking meds while being pregnant?

That is awesome news.
I'm so glad you aren't letting this awful disease keep you from having the family you've dreamed of!
