Definitely looks like Bart. Bart can cause that horrible twitching you are experiencing.

Hey all I've had it here and there in that area since starting Biaxin. Been on Rifampin a month and in the past week it really came out and developed a lot more.

I was on Rifampin and Zithromax for the Bart and is caused extreme herxing after 14 days of taking it. I ended up in the hospital years a go. Horrible pain and twitching up my left side and into my neck and head. Thought I was havinga stroke in my 30s. I gathered it was hitting something in my Central Nervous System. Only good thing I knew about that was that the med was working to kill it. Rifampin is very powerful so I am not surprised the organsim would surface and come out like a rash like that.

Send this to your LLMd. I have found it nearly impossible to decipher side effects from symptoms. It could be a bart rash, it could be an allergic reaction rash.
I have had Bartonella (b.henselae strain) twice(two separate infections) both times long term Biaxin (at least 8 months+ got rid of it for me..BOTH times.

Looks like a Bart rash to me.
Are your twitches big twitches, or little twitches (similar to muscle spasms)?
When I was killing off what I'm 99% sure was Bart, I got the little, fast twitches. Also got phantom itching (kept thinking bugs were biting me), pin prick sensations, etc.
For me Zithromax with Plaquenil is what did it though.
Please don't stop the med without checking with your LLMD first....non-medical people have told me they thought things were allergic reactions, when they were actually herxes! To me this seems like this is a herx, but I'm not a doctor.

Interesting, yeah I've gotten this sensation that fleas or bed bugs were chewing up my legs for the past few weeks that's a new one. And the twitches and small fast, eyelid here, top of foot twitching there, etc. Everywhere.
Definitely a herx event and I stayed on the med (always ride it out)
