Enula is kicking my butt!!!! Last night I did 3 drops before bed (1 or 2 didn't do much), and I woke up with a slightly painful, inflamed-type feeling in the back of my head, sort of at the top of my neck. (supposedly you get that with babesia)

It hurts when I try to tilt my head up to look at the ceiling. Normally when I get back-of-head headaches, it's not feeling this inflamed, where it hurts to move.

Then today I did 5 drops in the AM....and 30 minutes later, I'm getting all over headaches, and my pulse is very high. I could see my pulse on my neck, looking in the mirror. It HAS to be from the Enula.

Sometimes when I kill things off, my pulse shoots up.

Anyone else had a strong reaction off 5 drops? EEK!

Still on my babs prescriptions...haha, if only they were this effective.

Enula can also kill off parasites, so it could be the die-off from those. I'd keep using it, but maybe at a smaller dosage if that's too much for you. I've known people who have had to start off at half drops of some herbs!

Hey Hoos, I'm sorry you're feeling so awful [Frown]

I thought I'd let you know though that I could only get up to 10 drops of Enula a day (5 and 5). I was supposed to go up to 40, and I thought "NO POSSIBLE WAY". I didn't even end up finishing the course because it was too tough. I was taking it with artemisinin.

I had AWFUL breathing issues on Enula, and did have some body aches as well which is out of the ordinary for me.

The good news was that on the last day of taking it I had an AWFUL day and gave up (stomach issues and flu-like feelings), but then about a week later I noticed that my air hunger was SO much better.

Perhaps if you stick it out you'll see some benefits? I hope you do. <3
Are you taking it along with anything else? I know a lot of doctors prescribe it along with mepron or art for babs.

Take Care Hoos!

Thanks!

Yup, I am taking it with Malarone, and going to start CryptoPlus, another herbal.

I think I will survive these herxy symptoms....so hopefully it will help! Thank you.

I'm looking forward to starting it. . .I can handle tons of samento, but 1 drop of cumanda still kicks me after over a month. And last night I did a 3 drop overdose and got super manic.

This stuff is powerful. Hope you can stick it out!

I totally understand. I'm on Enula now too. It's

kicking my butt, but not as badly as you are

having. I am up to the max dosage and I have

been having night sweats like crazy, dull,

almost constant headaches, and a few different symptoms here and there. That at least shows me

it's working. For the first few days I thought my

head was going to explode straight out the top.

I have been taking it about a week and these

things are starting to subside, except for night

sweats. We've had a few cooler nights which make

it fun too be drenched while you

sleep! [Roll Eyes]

Today from the Enula, I'm not having the heart/pulse symptoms, but just having pretty bad headaches. The headaches are probably worse than yesterday, and I haven't really upped the dose.

I didn't wake up with the headache, but I got it about 30-45 min after my Enula, and it intensified later on.

Not sure on the dose for CryptoPlus....but if I wrote it down and I find the paper, I'll let you know (can't remember if anyone told me or not). Haven't gotten that product yet.

I'm not really sure if it was the enula or the

quina, but I had a really hard time. Now I have

been off it for over a week and I feel better

than I have felt in a while. I think I had to

go through the headaches and sweats to get this

far. The headaches stopped the first day I was

off those two herbs and my brain seems to be

working better now. I hope it gives good results

to others too.

I'm weird, but when I was on Enula, I noticed that it actually helped me to feel slightly better when I took it. I did like Enula a lot. :-)

I just recently started Crypto-Plus too. Today was my second dose.

But the weird thing is, I'm feeling much better since this afternoon when I took the Crypto-Plus and Enula.

This morning I woke up feeling terrible....and now it seems like either the Crypto-Plus, Enula, or the BLT tincture (took all 3 this afternoon) really turned my day around.

It is pretty amazing, actually.

I think I'm gonna start a separate post about it, to talk about babs herbs in general making people feel better.

I did really well with Enula, but Samento and now Banderol are kicking my butt. I am only doing the Banderol now, and it is definitely doing something because I am herxing, but with different symptoms than the Samento or abx: no pain, but crushing fatigue and depression. When I back off, so do those symptoms. I think Cowden says to back down & use the detox agents if you are herxing, that you should not try to 'push through' the symptoms.

I think I did well on Enula because I probably do not have Babesia, and I did not notice any parasites. I am starting Salt/C now, as I am on an abx 'break,' and I am not noticing any parasites on that either, though I am hoping to see some. Today on Salt/C for the first time I am having some herxy type sumptoms, so we'll see. Maybe my parasite load is not so high, or maybe mine are just stubbornly refusing to die. We'll see. I think all the Cowden herbal abx are worthwhile, and I will keep plugging away at taking them - especially the ones that seem to produce herxes for me. GOod luck
