I have not posted here in quite some time. I am beyond frustrated.

I have chronic Lyme have had it for 15 years. Last year I had open heart surgery due to Lyme Carditis.

I have applied for disability and can't qualify for Medicaid without it. I have been denied twice and now it is being appealed.

In the mean time I have became homeless because I have no way to support myself. Luckily I have a friend who does not want to see me on the streets.

I don't have the money to see an LLMD, man what I would give for that opportunity.

So right now I am just existing. My cardio is treating all of my symptoms to make my life bearable, but I am so ready to give up!

I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am way too sick to have to worry about being on the streets too.

I just had to rant here. I am sorry. Please pray for me.

IS this Social Secureity disability?

You can contact an attorney that specilaizes in this. they do not get paid until you get disability, and the government limits the amount of money they can take.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I too am living at a friends home....

I have an attorney who is working on my case, but there is supposedly over a year waiting list to go if front of a judge this time.

Our system is so messed up, and I feel like I might die waiting.

Please pray for me. Thanks

Astria, hoping your appeal goes through much faster and that you will have everything you need. Please hang in there, you've already been through so much. Prayers coming your way.

astria,

forgot to mention. have you gotten your 2 federal senators and house rep from DC involved in this?

you need to sign a RELEASE OF INFORMATION for them to get info on you. ss/dds reps have to send MONTHLY REPORTS to these folks.

if you are losing everything, they can sometimes put the sqeeze on getting admin law judge hearing or a HEARING OF RECORD i believe it the term conniemc, member, here uses.

she is a non-attorney represeting folks going thru ssdi procedure... betty

When my mom was fighting for her SSI case, she got denied twice, then we got a lawyer and I wrote our senator on her behalf. I told her story and sent pictures of her and of us as a family to put a face and story to the uninsured and disabled. He (or his office) wrote very often and her case was quickly approved and their office actually called to tell us before we got any information from the SSA.

It was an exhausting, heartbreaking process. This country just doesn't make sense. Astria, I'm almost in your position. Right now, I'm living on child support and alimony but have no health insurance. When my alimony ends in March, I will have to work (and I can't see how in the world I can do it) and if I don't I will be on the streets....and lose my son. I do have family here but they are "over it" in a sense and when I ask my mom who has ALWAYS been there for me what is going to happen to me if I can't work, she says, "You just have to."

That upsets me because I joined the military for her to support her and to get her health insurance after she left my dad. I moved her all the way to Florida to be with me and I supported her fully at 23 years old. I've always promised her that she would never live a destitute life and promised her security at all costs.

She can't even promise me the same and make me feel like someone will catch me when I fall. I don't have access to an LLMD either and I am literally being eaten alive. It seems like every other month something scary and serious happens.

I will say a prayer for you and although I can't help, I just want you to know, I'm in the same spot and I feel your pain.
