Hi all So I was diagnosed with babesia and ehrlichia by a LLD about 3 weeks ago.
I know ppl talk about herxing with lyme, but since I tested negative for lyme, and only tested positive for ehrlichia and babesia, I have some questions about what herxing might be like with babesia/ehrlichia.
I started ABX about 2 weeks ago. At first all was well. Then about 8-9 days after starting ABX, I woke up feeling more fatigued then I ever felt, dizzy, and had terrible chills and shakes.
I did NOT have any fever, which is odd because I run high fevers WHENEVER I get sick. The chills and aches made me certain that I would have a fever (since fevers ALWAYS accompany chills/aches for me when I get sick).
However, I had no fever, and was just profoundly fatigued, dizzy and had terrible chills for about 3 days.
After 3 days of this, I woke up feeling much better. I felt good for 3 days, and then woke up after the 3 "good days", and felt very sick again (same symptoms-fatigue, chills, dizziness).
This lasted for 2 days and then I felt better.
Does this sound like a herx reaction? Or do you think I just happen to pick up some infection?
Again, the odd thing was that I had no fever and i ALWAYS run high fevers when Im sick.
So, first off, do people get herx reactions from treating babesia and ehrlichia, or is it really only seen in lyme?
Second, does this sound like a herx? IS the timeline right? I got these symptoms about 8-9 days after starting ABX and they remained for 3 days, then cleared up for days, then came back for 2 days?
So what do u guys think? Are the symptoms, timeline etc suggestive of herx? Thanks alot-SH

If you have Ehrlichia and Babesia, you can pretty much bet ALL your money on the fact that you have lyme disease as well. It does not matter if the tests were all negative.
I wish I remember where I read this or if it was in Dr. B's guidelines, but he said that if you have a positive Babesia test you can pretty much bet you have lyme disease. If you have a positive lyme disease test, you may or may not have Babesia. I hope that makes sense.
