To my horror I discovered a tick on my arm several hours ago. I thought I carefully removed it but it was still embedded.
Panicked I went to the Emergency Room of a local hospital ( in a highly endemic area) Took out the remainder of what he called mouthparts. I have a small raised circle.
The treatment is Doxycycline which I cannot take and they would not give me anything else.
Does anyone know what else might be effective to cover myself? I on amoxicillin and thought I would do 2000mg day for 2 weeks.
