I'm curious if others taking hydrocortisone (I'm on a low dose, 10 MG per day) is experiencing weight gain. I've gained 5 lbs in the past 3 weeks when typically I've never gained weight, and have been doing nothing different other then taking hydrocortisone. Not liking this! Others having the same problem?

i gain weight with everything i take and we dont know what the problem is yet

but i think that can be a side effect of the hydrocortisone, 5 lbs is not bad if you get energy
I think you'd loose it when if you become more active

I take hydrocortisone (20 mg per day), and haven't noticed a weight gain.

But we're all different.

I noticed a small increase in energy when we added it at 10 mg per day,

and then later when we upped it to 15 in the am, and 5 at noon.

When we upped it we also added fludricortisone - and then - wow.

Huge difference.

laceyj has a good point about becoming more active, too.

Maybe that's why no weight gain here.

Not noticing that it's doing anything for my energy yet. But perhaps 10 mg per day, 5 in the AM and 5 at lunch isn't enough to boost my energy.
