Hi to all, I was wondering does this happen to any of you? What did you do to control it?
I am experiencing wierd sensations on the left side of my face, it feels like burning sensation, and tingling. I have had this happen above my lip too. Also in my scalp.
I have had tingling/burning sensations in my right arm for awhile but these other symptoms are bothersome.
I am currently being treated. Taking Amoxycillan and Azithromycin. Also, my eyes are bothering the heck out of me, with dryness. I am putting those drops in my eyes Systane by Alcon and seems like I need more and more.
Thanks for any suggestions. Should I call my Dr. about this too? Anything to worry about? or just Lyme? Thanks in advance.

Neuropathies. That is causing your burning and tingling. I get this all of the time. Upper lip, tongue, cheeks (facial cheeks )scalp, hands, feet....comes and goes. It is nerve involvement.
I have other symptoms that bother me much more, the tingling and burning is just annoying for me. I know it can be worse for others.
Dry eyes too are very common. Although, there are some conditions other than TBI's that dryness of the mucous membranes are a symptom...Sogrens (sp).
Klonopin takes the edge off of my neuropathies.
Call your doctor if you are concerned.

Yes, it sounds all too familiar! I do take Neurontin and have been for years. But it was (I think) doxy that helped the facial tingling/burning.
Mine too was on the left side of the face and almost felt like sunburn, painful. I still get the scalp stuff too. Is the tingling/burning worse say when you're around your cycle? How about under more stress.
I have horrible neuropathy in general but the facial stuff seems to have been helped by the above. Maybe the abx is also triggering some sort of increased cytokine response? That often manifests itself in the form that you describe, some people also get "crawling" sensations, burning/tingling, etc.
Hope yours gets better, in any case if you need reassurance do call your LLMD, I'm sure it's all part of this lovely illness.

Crawling in your scalp? Can be very indicative of parasites.
