Doctor has ordered MRI of brain (head). How important is that test for LD/TBI? For some reason I was thinking MRI of that sort for MS. I have had MRI's before but now dread doing one because of the noise and my ears now so sensitive. No other head/brain test would do ie scans/whatever - anything without the loud beeping noise? TIA any thoughts/help. (My computer crashed and am on borrowed laptop hoping I can figure out how to sign back on - I don't need this added stress!)

An MRI will show if you have any lesions or white matter of the brain and it recommended to also have a spec scan that shows the pattern of blood flow or lack there of in the brain.
I would do these tests under the care of an LLMD. Your average doctor may interpret them incorrectly and may want to pigeon hole you into an MS diagnoses, if any lesions are found.

i had them PUT ME UNDER COMPLETELY since i'm so sensitive to NOISE/LIGHTS. i didn't hear anything.
but murphy's law hit that day, and anything that could go wrong, did go wrong, and they tried talkign me out of anesthetia being used on me.
even the special light bulb burnt out; thankfully they had 1 SPARE; $1500 for 1 bulb!

I just had a head MRI (my LLMD requested it), but it did not show anything abnormal.

If you don't like regular MRIs try to find an Open MRI center. It is like sitting in a box with an open front. Not as loud as a regular MRI (maybe the echo?).
