I have endo quite severely and because of the inflammatory situation it creates in the body I'm getting pressure to use prometrium. The hope is if we can keep my immune system being "side-tracked" dealing with the endo then I can better fight the lyme and co-infections.

I'm reading really horrible things about prometrium at different web sites. Can anyone here give me any help? Have any of you used this medication?

I didn't have any problems with it. It was rather pricey though!

You could also try one of the natural progesterone creams found at health food stores.

Our daughter used natural progesterone cream for endo. She had two surgeries, the second, and very successful one, with an excisionist. There are controversies with endo treatment, just like Lyme, and the excisionists are the endo equivalent of "LLMD's" I guess.

She has been pain free for 2 years, after being out of school for 6 months due to pain in 2007.
