Here I am again worried sick and needing your support...

First off, I am facing unusual stress in my life currently.

My father was diagnosed in Sept. with an inoperable brain tumor and my life has been turned upside down and I've been under extreme stress.

During the onset of this news, I began experiencing intense tingling and pain in the back region of my scalp and feelings of fogginess. I wrote it off as anxiety and probably lyme rearing its ugly head again. (I think I've had lyme for about 8 years and tested CDC positive this spring).

The only way I can find to describe the symptoms are that they are like "hot spots" on my head. They tingle and burn and then I end up rubbing them, hoping for relief. The problem in the back of my skull has subsided, but now I'm having the same symptoms on my eyebrow with fogginess and feeling out of it. I feel completely worn out by the end of the day and now I am worried that it may be a brain tumor and my mind is taking me to terrible places...

Please, if anyone can relate and help me get through this, I would be so grateful.

I did see my general md and he did bloodwork and I'm scheduled for an MRI tomorrow, but I'm a total wreck here...

Hey KLSS;

The good news is that you are getting an MRI tomorrow and should have some news in a few days.

Do you have Neuro. Lyme? Those symmptoms could be from that - especailly if your stress levels are up right now.

You need to try to stay calm as stress will just make it worse...may not be causing it but can certainly make it worse...

Try some things to decrease the hot spot on your eyebrow. Maybe some ice? I know when I get some hot tinglings on my legs and feet some ice helps to alleviate it. Does not take it away but helps for a little bit anyway.

Anyway...try to stay calm and best of luck with the MRI....

Thank you, Trigal...

Most of my symptoms have been more neuro related-I have had the fogginess and back of head discomfort, but the tingling I'm feeling around my eye is new-I'm guessing stress related, at this point.

I hate this feeling of always being scared about my health...

I hope the MRI turns out just fine. You are on antibiotics, right?

Could you be herxing?

I'm sorry to hear about your father. May God bless him and your family.
