Are there any Alinia users who do not have Babesia?

If so, how long have you been on it and what kind of response have you had?

Thanks!

I just started it last week and I don't necessarily have babesia (no positive lab tests).

I have done some treatment for it and had positive responses to mepron and zith, so who knows.

My MD is prescribing it for its possible affect against the cyst form of Lyme (although he admits this has yet to be proven in the lab). I'm also on rocephin and fluconazole.

I had a resurgence of fatigue after starting it and some additional nerve symptoms (stabs, itch, etc). Feeling better today. It's hard to attribute what drug to what symptom though.

Are you taking it? I'm very curious what your and others experiences have been.

Yes, I've been on it for six months now - 500mg twice a day. Started out on the liquid first.

No change for me. In another post I was asking about what others think of Alinia since there has been no response from it for me,

No tests have been taken to confirm this but there are no symptoms suggesting Babesia. Since Alinia is an anti-malarial, it seems like it's promise applies only for people with Babesia.

It feels like a waste of time & money for me.

What dosage of Alinia are you on?
