I have been taking Mepron since May 08 and I continually feel like I am herxing. Could it be that my body is in a toxic state from all the Mepron and it isn't herxing? I have been researching on the net. Sometimes I think I should just so off all this medicine that I am on and go with natural products. Any opinions or similar stories? Kitty.

Kitty, I've been on Mepron as well -- since October 2008 and haven't felt toxic or continually herxed. Thanking God for that. Mepron is really hard for some people. It was such a great thing for me when I first got on it. It seemed to help me a lot. After being on it for a year, I don't see any improvements really now, unfortunately.

Mepron makes me feel toxic and terrible.
Kitty, that's a LONG time to be on Mepron. Have you added artemisinin to it? Do you know if you have babesia microti or babesia duncani? (have you tested positive for either)
I am taking two herbals that are packing a punch against babesia....Enula by Nutramedix and CryptoPlus, which is cryptolepsis with some other herbs.
You could go off the Mepron and try those.
I would like to see what more of the drugs can do for me too though, so I am gonna take Clindamycin and Quinine at some point.

Lots of drugs can certainly make your liver toxic.
It can really get hammered if it is not healthy to begin with.
In today's world the junk that is sold as food with tons of high fructose corn syrup, soy, etc. can + will greatly stress your liver.
When drugs are added to the above the liver (which is your most important organ) can become highly stressed and not work well at all.

I think everyghing we take to kill bugs will make us toxic if we don't clean out our bodies regularly.
Killing the bugs releases toxins (heck the bugs release toxins while they're alive).
That compared to what massman added above is what makes the 'detox' an important part of our treatment.
An example: I've done my infrared sauna two days in a row (40 minutes 135degrees) because I was feeling herxy/toxic. today my twin came over and we rifed for candida/fungus. She's herxing like heck right now (I just got an email from her) and I'm totally OK
You can bet I'll be back in that sauna within a fee hours just to make sure.
I feel sort of bad because I talked her into the rifing.
