HI, I am new to Lyme. I just got diagnosed on Thurs. I was wondering if I can take herbals with antibiotics. Like oregano oil, cats claw, etc. These are some of the ingredients in Immune Power. Something I use if I start to come down with a cold.

Some herbals may have interactions with antibiotics.

Best reference I have seen + used for this is a book called "Healing Lyme" by Stephen Buhner.

Some herbals are in fact antibiotics -just the ones occurring naturally (and this is not always better than synthetic abx) , you can get side effects and drug interaction same way you can get from drugs

Be sure to talk to your doctor about it. I took many, many herbals right alongside of my abx. My doctor was well-versed in both. I would look for a doctor who knows about both so you can get help from him in that regard.
