Just did this. Gerd and acid reflux is the result. Trying to heal that. Be careful. It seemed like a good idea. mom of boys

I did many of them. I think they can be used for part of the overall process of supporting the body but not to expect that it's killing off spirochetes.

IV C is great for bringing down inflammation, helping with energy issues and immune boosting and it's very good for bringing down viral loads, of all the nasties we pick up. Knocking down the viral load can give your body a real boost.

Most IV C drips contain other nutrients. Check what they will be offering you. Adding magnesium to it and B vitamins would make it better. If you do them talk to whoever is doing them about what else can be added to help support your body. Some times you can get a glutathione push after wards.

If you do them be sure to bring snacks with you, especially high protein ones, such as nuts, as sometimes you can get a bit hypoglycemic. The snacks will help avoid that. Also drinking lots of water is good too.

I cam sensing since my flu episode I am struggling with a lot of viral load that is holding on and I was trying to think of ways to help with it.

I have been taking a lot of L Lysine and am on Valtrex and those have helped some of it.

But this is nagging at me and I know its in the way right now....

Maybe I will do a few and see...

THanks for the ideas and comments Abxnomore.

Good things to keep in mind and ask and think about if I do do it.

I realize it will not do anything really for lyme but it can help with viral issues.. from what I understand.. ANd those viral issues are in my way right now!! LOL>>

Maybe I am being inpatient. My doctor said to expect the viral issues to hang on a long time after the flu and it drags on for awhile..

I did them daily, they did not work. This was before I knew I had Lyme, and a few times after.

You can take what you need orally. IV Vit C is a rip off. Trust me, I used to think it was just the most amazing thing ever because it seemed to give me little boosts of energy.

After months of the stuff, yes high doses it did not do anything but burn my veins, produce expensive urine and mess with my insulin and blood sugar. It does nothing to treat Lyme either. Same with Hydrogen peroxide. Thumbs way down. I wish all the IV Vit C and H2o2 I did had been IV antibiotics. There is quite a bit more to this...but in a nutshell, it is used to make $$.

Viral issues should resolve and return to their normal dormant states once you treat the underlying bacterial infections. The docs doing the IV C will try to tell you that 25 + grams will stimulate your body's interferon production and help you kill viruses. Maybe it does do something like that but not enough to produce a long lasting result.

It is very common to have high EBV, HHV6 and so on when you also have Lyme. Sometimes doctors use Valtrex, amantadine, ganciclovir, etc., to help lessen viral load but it us up to your immune system to do the rest.

Just a note: Many of the other ingredients in IV Vit C drips can be done at home yourself with injections. Your doc writes a Rx for B1, B5, B6, B12,B complex, Magnesium etc., and you do the shots and insurance covers all of it usually. Its much cheaper!

Thanks for the info..

I am finding doctors will not prescribe those shots unless your blood work shows you need it.

But I may approach my HD MD as well and see if they will prescribe it.

I could see how Vitamin C might be a temporary fix....but boy there is some compelling information about how they treat HIV and Cancer and all sorts of MAJOR things using it.

Do you find that the viruses feel worse when you get the Lyme load down? It seems that when i am doing the most treatment for lyme then the viral load causes more problems. I was told that can happen but I can not make sense of that in my head.

Maybe treating for lyme aggressively makes your immune system weaker for awhile? That is how I feel.
