Should I be detoxing periodically? I am taking ABX but don't know anything about detox. I have felt extreme fatigue since a HERX in early Sept.

What do you take to detox?

My answer: always and lifelong.
There is never an end to detoxification focus. We are exposed to many toxins daily and the more toxic we are, the less likely we will get well. Read about the FIGHT program on gordonresearch.com to understand more about the importance of a comprehensive wellness protocol.

Squeeze lemons into water and drink that every day while on lyme treatment.

Lemons are a natural cleanser is what my lyme doc told me. He wanted me to eat 4 per day.

Drinking the lemon water will really help--with herxes and in general.

Drink lots of water throughout lyme treatment. That will flush out your body.

That's all I did to detox. Except, once in a while I took a hot bath with epsom salts in it and other things (can't remember)--may have been baking soda, salt, aloe, etc.

A lyme doc recommended this somewhere on the Internet.

Drink lots of warm water while in the bath so as not to dehydrate. Keep adding hot water to keep it hot. Try to stay in 1 hour.

You will be limp and exhausted after this. Go right to bed.

Do this on days when you really feel horrible.

It detoxes you through your skin, through sweating.

Different Scott here:

Detox has been the biggest key to surviving herxes during my first 2 battles with this disease: here is what I did and still do: Of course I can't recommend them for you but it is what I've done.

...Infrared sauna

...I use to use homozon but now i've tried the vitamin c flush described in Bryan Rosner's book and it has worked well for me.

...coffee enemas if things were real bad. Gross but sometimes I tried anything when things were real bad.

...definitely lots of lemon water

Good Luck,
Scott D.

Jennie,

Detox has really helped me too. For the few month, I did not know anything about detox, and did not do anything!

The epsom salt baths really help me.

Don't use Real Lemon juice concentrate.

Use fresh lemons.

Also, put 1 cup of the epsom salts in the bath water.

I use:

Pekana Big Three (apo-Hepat, Renelix, Itires) to support liver, kidney, lymphatics
Zeolites
Chlorella
MicroSilica
Fibers
Charcoal
Pectasol-C
Infrared Saunas
Various homeopathics and drainage remedies
Health Directions Tox-Ease
Electrolytes in water to support kidneys
Minerals (required for metal detox)
Remove EMF toxins
Filter drinking and shower water (why detox if you keep adding more toxins)
Glycine / DMG (chemical detox)
Methylation enhancers (MB12, etc).
etc.

Of course, I don't do all of these at the same time. These are just options.

Liver support with Milk Thistle, ALA, etc.. On-going support is vital. It's also important to avoid things that harm the liver. Even tylenol can do that.

Regarding the lemon water, does anyone use it as an essential oil? I have lemon from Young Living, and just started using a few drops in water 1x/day.
