I have had a tough time getting rid of "bart" or whatever it is. Lyme too, although it seems less of a problem than "bart".
Could parasites be why? I have no GI symptoms, gas, bloating or other. Stool test--LLMD said looked "good". BUT...I have cognitive, twitching, some pain and depersonalization problems plus occasionally a rocking sensation. These I have always attributed to Lyme and co.
Could these have been parasites all along? Could parasites cause these brain problems rather than GI? SHould I start Humaworm?

Some practitioners start with paras, especially Babesia. Yeast may be another place to start. Heavy metals. Unhealthy organs that can't handle detox.
Traditional one stool sample for para testing IMO is useless. Parasites, like lyme, have learned to live longer by hiding well.
And IMO some people seem to like long term para treatment + think if that is the way everybody else does it then that is the way they have to do it. Not sure why this occurs. ----------------------------------------------- "Whatever you do, be a seeker" - Steve Earle

Hubby always says I have a cast iron stomach. I hardly ever have G.I. problems. I do not have Lyme or any other tick-borne illnesses that I know of.
When hubby first got sick I was also tested for parasites. At the time hubby had lost 30 pounds and had been diagnosed with gastritis. An alternative doc did stool tests on both of us.
I tested positive for giardia. Hubby had giardia, ascaris and trichostrongylus. We both treated with very strong and expensive Nigerian herbs. Hubby's G.I. symptoms improved significantly. I couldn't really tell a difference myself since I had no symptoms to begin with.
Several months before hubby got sick his mom came down with a G.I. illness and had both diarrhea and vomiting. She heard a rumor that the local water was "bad". I stayed with her one night while she was sick and then the next day had both diarrhea and vomiting. I got over it quickly, but it seems highly likely that I was exposed to giardia at that time.
I think a trial of parasite herbs or meds couldn't hurt. But I do think if this was a significant issue you would probably have some G.I. symptoms since Lyme and coinfections suppress the immune system.
Just like with silent gallstones, many people have parasite infections that do not significantly impact their health.

I found parasite treatment to be a big help. I stumbled across it, but after a round of Humaworm, I started seeing some progress. I ended up having lots of parasites.
Nothing showed up in my stool test except some bacterial overgrowth. My LLMD started me on herbs for that, but when I saw Humaworm treated those bacteria, I switched to it. I was shocked when I started seeing worms.
Enula also helped. I eliminated roundworm after roundworm on the enula.

Six mailbox cleared out. Would love to hear more. As I recall you were already well on your way to getting better when you treated with Humaworm is that correct? I wonder now if I should have started with Humaworm....

Sounds like the stool tests are not reliable. UGH! I had stool tests and tested positive for Cryptosporidium only but they tested for all kinds of parasites. I treated for that but still have TERRIBLE GI symptoms. I'm going to ask out doc about Humaworm CD.

I can't remember if you've been on Alinia or not. It hits a couple of parasites and many think Babesia too. I was able to tolerate it well, but two of my Lyme friends had to live in the bathroom from it!

Can I take Humaworm while on abx and mepron???? Will it destroy the probiotics? Can I just take the 30 day supply and see if it helps....is that enough? I am 'bout 200 lbs.

HiCD
You and I got our TBIs in same area of country.
How long did you treat for BAbs? I ask, because many people in the area have to treat Babs (or whatever it is) for a long time (I'm on month 22 of Mepron). Also interesting is that this strain tends not to cause too many outward signs, but it keeps the immune system down, and keeps people from getting rid of other TBIs.
I still have problems with lyme, because I can't get this dag Babesea(or whatever it is) under control. So maybe this is happening to you.
If you send me a private message, I can send you the name of a woman who had a family member that was sick for 5 years, and it turned out it was the Bart that took forever.
