I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy recently to check for GI problems. I had H. Pylori over the summer, got rid of it but had some severe stomach pains a few weeks ago.
My testing came back fine. No HP, no ulcers, just mild gastritis.
My GI doc said I was perfectly healthy and that he saw no evidence of Candida in the colon, stomach or esophagus.
Of course that is a big relief but I wonder how accurate it is. Does anyone know if you can SEE candida...my doc says if it was there he would have seen it.
I guess I should trust him but I am concerned because I definitely have thrush and am worried it will spread throughout my body. I am on dyflucan and nystatin now so hopefully that will help.

The yeast should be waving like this in order to be identified correctly.
It really annoys me that some docs rely only on tests and will totally believe them. Then they can dismiss your complaints and cover their rear doing that.

Sigh I hate the conflicting info. Drugs help. Drugs don't. What to believe?
The nystatin I am on is liquid. I swish and then spit out. I've only been on it 3 days but it does seem a little better.
If I do have Candida internally I hope/think it is not too bad yet so I am trying to halt it with the diflucan and nystatin as well as a candida diet and salt/c regimen.

My daughter's GI yeast was very visible on those photos they give you after an endoscopy. (Massman, they weren't waving though).
I don't know if a less severe case would be less visible. We also had some tests done at an integrative medicine doctor at one point.
Swish and swallow has sugar in it.But that is the only liquid option, that I know of.

There are some excellent mixed herbals to use.

I have seen my fungi! My doctor pricked my finger, placed one drop of blood on a slide and we viewed it under a microscope! I felt more educated seeing these tiny cross-hatched lines in my blood. Would loved to have punched them all out, but what good would that do as it's in my tissues, brain, etc.
Systemic Candida (Fungi) is ugly to deal with. So terribly stubborn to leave my body. It is now 2.5 years and counting.
Painful every day. Does not matter what I try, as nothing has worked. So, I asked my new ND - Dr. E. in Scottsdale for help.
He had a Metal Challenge Test done. With 10 metals showing up on my tests - and MERCURY, ARSENIC & BISMUTH all in the Extremely High ranges... well, it is no wonder I cannot kick Candida out. It is holding hands and hiding with the Heavy Metals.
So, One week is IV Chelation and the next week is Remineralization. I just got started and don't know how long this is going to take.
But if the Candida gets killed off and disappears from my body and the good Flora gets settled inside finally, then and only then will I celebrate.
Oh - I do have something to celebrate... After being unemployed for two years, I have been able to go back to work. This was my first week.
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to Work I Go! Boy do I have some debts to repay.
Now, I must keep working hard to do as Dr. Tips says above...Conquer Candida and Resore My Immune System [ baah - none of the synthetic drugs worked for me ].
Hugs to Gudrun for all she has done. She and Scott and Joey and Carla were my beacons. I got lucky I guess.
Best to You All, Grace
